Exclusive: Vidya Balan is responsible for Begum Jaan's delay. Here is why!

Mumbai: The National award-winning actress, Vidya Balan, has been struggling with her career for quite sometime now. Failure has affected her so much that she is hell-bent on ensuring her upcoming release ‘Begum Jaan’ wins hearts at the box office.

Produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, this historical drama was supposed to release this March but now with Vidya interfering with the post-production work, the fate of the film is hanging in the hands of destiny.

“After ‘Kahaani 2’ performed poorly at the box office, Vidya has taken it upon herself to ensure ‘Begum Jaan’ becomes a grand success. From edit of the film to marketing strategy, Vidya sits with the team and plays an active part in planning and execution. She does not want another flop under her belt,” reveals a source to Deccan Chronicle.

If we rewind a little, Balan’s last three films, ‘Te3n’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’ and ‘Bobby Jasoos’, brought her no success, commercial and otherwise.
