Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor to work together in a horror comedy

Mumbai: The fresh pairing of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in for a horror comedy film. The upcoming film is written by ‘Go Goa Gone’ fame Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The yet untitled movie will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Rajkummar Rao confirmed the news on his Twiitter handle by writing, “Super excited to be part of out-of-the-box, raucous horror-comedy! With the super amazing @ShraddhaKapoor. Collaborating with my awesome producer #Dinoo @MaddockFilms, the coolest & quirky duo Raj & DK @krishdk & national award-winning @amarkaushik. Can’t wait to begin.”

The female lead, Shraddha also tweeted, "Very excited to share that I’ll be working with 1 of my favourite actors @RajkummarRao & the hilarious director duo Raj & DK for a 1st of its kind horror-comedy!🙃 @MaddockFilms"

Vijan is reuniting with Raj and DK once again after Go Goa Gone. A source revealed, “All three of them were extremely clear that they wanted an A-list heroine opposite Raj. Their first choice was Shraddha and she loved the script. Right after the first narration, she was in splits. She immediately okayed the film, worked out the modalities and signed on the dotted line on Monday evening.”

The director of the film is yet to be announced.

Shraddha is busy shooting for Prabhas's 'Saaho' and is also prepping for Amole Gupte’s Saina Nehwal biopic. Meanwhile Rajkummar is busy with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 'Fanney Khan' alongside Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
