Deepika Padukone broke her silence about her battle with depression way back in the year 2015.
The actress has opened up about her battle with depression again during her interview with a magazine. She says, “The word that best describes my experience of depression is struggle. Every second was a struggle. I felt exhausted the whole time.” Deepika also went on to mention about Salman Khan's take on depression and said, “People confuse it with being a bit sad. A male star said recently that he didn’t have the luxury to be depressed. As if depression is a choice!”
For the unversed, Salman Khan had once said in an interview with one of the media houses, "I see a lot of people going on vacations, but I cannot afford that luxury of taking a vacation. I see a lot of people getting depressed and emotional, but I can't afford that luxury of being depressed or sad or emotional because no matter what I am going through, it works against me."
Talking about Deepika, the actress is currently on cloud nine as she has been featured on the cover of the August issue of the national fashion glossy. She will be next seen in the upcoming movie Chhapaak and alongside hubby Ranveer Singh in 83.
