Sanju: Rajkumar Hirani's got another film with Ranbir Kapoor on the cards?

Rajkumar Hirani has a track record of doing two films back-to-back with each of his leading men — Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai with Sanjay Dutt, and 3 Idiots and PK with Aamir Khan. When the filmmaker was asked during a promotional event for Sanju, if he had a second collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor in mind, he shocked everyone by saying that he didn’t want to work with the actor again.

But a source close to Hirani reveals, “Raju Hirani was joking! In fact, he already has plans to work with Ranbir again.”

Apparently, Hirani wants to have Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor do a film together. We’re not sure if that will be the third instalment of the Munna Bhai franchise or an entirely new project.

But for fans who’ve enjoyed the filmmaker’s latest offering, it will be a treat to see reel-Dutt and real-Dutt performing together.
