Exclusive: After regional films, Priyanka Chopra to now produce web series

She is a successful actress and producer who has not just made a mark in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. Priyanka Chopra, who believes in experimenting with different media, is now all set to venture into the web series segment, confirms her mother Madhu Chopra.

“We are working on some excellent projects. It will be in Hindi and English, and Priyanka will star in one of them as well,” Madhu said.

She further added, “The web is the future, although the quality will not be cinematic, we will get there. Priyanka has approved three stories, and hopefully, she will be seen in one web series.”

Post the success of Ventilator, Priyanka is on a roll and is now backing her next Marathi comedy film Kay Re Rascala with a relatively new star cast. Madhu says, “Yes, it is a risk to work with newcomers, but good content draws good performances. The risk is higher, but it’s a good film. Ventilator was for a niche audience, but this is a complete masala film. I hope this movie becomes commercially successful because it’s pure entertainment.”

She added, “Unfortunately, Priyanka has not been able to come to India to promote the movie, but she is promoting this film through social media.”
