I am a big flop actor says filmmaker Karan Johar

The filmmaker, however, does not mind doing cameo appearances in movies.

Any film made by Karan Johar immediately gets attention. However, his work as a director is what has always been appreciated. Although the actor in him has broken free in a couple of films, like Bombay Velvet and Welcome to New York, the films failed miserably at the box office.

It takes a lot of courage to accept your flaws and Karan, who has been at the centre of the nepotism controversy in recent past, comes on record to admit his unflattering performance as an actor. “I am a big, flop actor. None of my films worked at the box office. I did Bombay Velvet and Welcome to New York and both didn't work,” Karan said.

“Nobody should cast me in any film. I should not be taken as there’s no viability with me. I am a very big flop actor,” he added.

The filmmaker, however, does not mind doing cameo appearances in movies. As a filmmaker, Karan has shaped careers of many actors in Bollywood. Let us hope he too finds a filmmaker who can give a fillip to his acting career.
