Not only Ranveer Singh, even Parineeti Chopra backs out of IPL 2018 opening ceremony
The news of Varun, Jacqueline, Ranveer and Parineeti performing at the IPL 2018 made many fans excited.

Mumbai: The news of Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra performing at the IPL 2018 made many fans excited.
But unfortunately Ranveer Singh had to step down after he injured himself, and the actor got replaced by Hrithik Roshan.
While we all were still dealing with the news of not seeing Ranveer perform at the opening ceremony, Parineeti Chopra’s team revealed that she too has opted out of it.
The official statement from the actress’ spokesperson reads, “Parineeti Chopra was to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony. She was shooting non-stop for Namaste England in Patiala and had back-to-back, pre-committed endorsement commitments. So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse in spite of her best efforts. Being a thorough professional, Parineeti spoke to Wizcraft and explained to them that she was not ok putting up a compromised performance. Wizcraft has been gracious enough to understand this and agrees with Parineeti. She would not be performing at the gala opening.”
Oh no! Now it might become a point of concern since the opening ceremony is a day later and replacing someone at such a short notice is tough.
