Neha Dhupia, who is currently on MTV Roadies, has stayed away from the silver screen for quite some time. But she’s all set to get busier soon. Neha will be seen the upcoming comedy film Santa Banta Pvt. Ltd alongside Vir Das, Boman Irani and Lisa Haydon.
The actress says that the team had a great time on the sets. She says, “I have done comedies like Garam Masala, Chup Chup Ke in the past. It was very long since I had done a slapstick comedy. I miss all the fun we had. When we were off the sets, we would go shopping. Boman would be busy with his video games and Vir would perform his stand-up acts. We used to even have lunch and dinners together.”
Neha has donned a floral bikini in the movie, one that was chosen by herself. “I love buying my own bikinis. I bought this one too, but the only bombshell in the film is Lisa Haydon!” she says, with a laugh. Back in 2004, Neha made news when she had said only Shah Rukh Khan and sex sells in Bollywood. The actress admits that the statement doesn’t hold true any more. She says, “I guess times have changed now. I believe that audiences are ahead of filmmakers these days.
Today, only content-driven films are loved. It doesn’t matter if a film has a star or a lot of sex in it. It will only work if it has a good plot.” The actress says that it was never a conscious effort to do fewer films. She says, “I believe that the films I am seen in, need to challenge the benchmarks in cinema.”
