Nawazuddin Siddiqui who plays a teacher in his upcoming film Haramkhor took his role quite seriously.
A source close to Nawaz reveals, “The actor was shooting in the small village of Madhya Pradesh where there were only two municipal schools and when he got some free time between the shots, he visited the school and surprised the kids by his presence. He went an extra mile by becoming their teacher and taught them subjects like Hindi and mathematics. Nawaz also spoke to them on the importance of education and how one should study regardless of background.”
On this, director Shlok Sharma said, “Nawaz bhai is a man of many layers. He is as thorough a human being as he is refined an actor. He would constantly be with these kids, even when not on the set, not shooting. Trying to understand their mindsets, what they are going through at home and school. The day we shot at the school, we finished some 15-16 scenes in a single day. And Nawaz bhai was just there, making it a cake walk.”
