International news channel apologises after goofing up Big B, Rishi for Shashi Kapoor
Mumbai: Shashi Kapoor passed away on Monday evening and not a day after the Shashi Tharoor incident, an international leading news channel made a big goof-up.
While trying to pay tribute to the late actor, this news channel broadcasted Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor’s songs.
Hang on @bbcnews Shashi Kapoor has died not Amitabh Bachan or Rishi Kapoor, who you've weirdly used to illustrate the story. pic.twitter.com/48jo6DGjU6

This enraged many fans and people in general and they called this blunder lack of knowledge and research.
Shocking to note @BBC insults a veteran actor Shashi Kapoor by showing clips of @SrBachchan & @chintskap whilst reporting his death today!!!@BBC must apologize!!! Clearly they have no clue.

Lack of knowledge & research...if you dont know the news in and out dont telecast....reporting standards should be strict and punishable

A journalist from the news channel had to eventually apologize for this mistake, calling it his unusual standards.
#BBCNewsTen is very sorry wrong images were used to mark the death of Shashi Kapoor. Not our usual standards and I apologise for any upset.
