Irrfan Khan coming back to India for Diwali, but won't work in movies even now?

Things seem to be finally falling in place for the actor after shedding a lot of weight and months of chemotherapy.

Back in March this year, Irrfan Khan, who usually entertained everyone with his films, shocked one and all when he revealed that he is suffering from the neuroendocrine cancer.

In a Twitter post, the 51-year-old actor had earlier said that "sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life shaking you up".

But things seem to be finally falling in place for the actor after shedding a lot of weight and months of chemotherapy.

Irrfan, it is being reported, will be back in town, in Nashik, to celebrate this Diwali and bring smiles on faces with the festival of lights.

A source close to the family told Mid-Day, "Irrfan and his family are planning to celebrate Diwali at their Nashik farmhouse. It will be a 10-day trip after which he will return to the UK for his ongoing treatment."

Meanwhile a lot of projects have been linked to Irrfan’s name – right from Hindi Medium 2 to now Udham Singh biopic. However the source clarified that the actor will take a while before he gets back on sets.

"He is yet to be given a clean chit by his doctors on whether he can start full-fledged work. The doctors are hopeful that he can return to the set by March. But he will have to follow the guidelines that his oncologists give him. The biopic will have to be divided into shorter schedules," concluded the source.
