'Filmmakers making irresponsible remarks': Karan on ADHM's Rafi dialogue controversy
New Delhi: Karan Johar's recently released film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in the limelight ever since the film was announced. Ever since it's release, the film continues to make headlines for one or the other reason.
Recently, a lot of drama has been circulating the film for its famous dialogue on the legendary late singer Mohammad Rafi. In a particular scene in the film, Anushka Sharma jokingly says, "Mohammed Rafi gaate nahi, rote the."
The dialogue did not go down well with the late singer's son Shahid Rafi, who asked for a public apology from Karan Johar.
Recently, Karan Johar broke his silence on the issue and spoke out on Twitter in response to his colleagues' negative comments for including a dialogue that was reportedly found "insulting" to Mohammed Rafi.
"Filmmakers making irresponsible remarks at events..singers reveling in self importance...press releases sent to mask insecurities! Ufff...." Karan Johar wrote on his official Twitter account.
'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', was released on November 28 amidst heated controversy for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, is so far doing good at the box office.
