Four years on, director looks outside of AK Productions

Debutant director Deepak Dwivedi sought help from another production house after Aamir's production company kept it on hold for four years.

It was earlier reported that Aamir Khan had signed on debutant director Deepak Dwivedi’s film titled Kashmir Glasshouse, as a producer. Deepak has been assisting known directors since 1999, and now is all set to make a film about friendship that cuts across religious and cultural barriers. The film is based on friendship between two Agra wallahs — a sari shop owner and a photo-frame shop owner.

Aamir was supposed to start the film before his television show, Satyameva Jayate which means the film was scheduled to go on floors around November 2012 but it didn’t happen.

A source close to the actor revealed, “Aamir was keen to produce the film, but has now asked Dwivedi to wait for two years before his production house can take it further. Deepak has worked on the film for close to a year already, and even finalised Chandan Roy Sanyal to play a pivotal role in it.”

We now hear that Deepak has got his script back from Aamir Khan Productions and will revive the film from early 2017 with a new producer.
