Aamir Khan breaks pattern, to release 'Dangal' trailer a week before Diwali

Mumbai: Aamir Khan has finally decided to let go of one of his idiosyncrasies. The superstar reportedly has decided to release the first trailer of his highly anticipated sports drama ‘Dangal,’ before Diwali, breaking his customary Diwali trailer premiere.

As per a DNA report, Aamir screened the film for a few close friends to gauge their response and the positive feedback that came his way prompted him to launch the trailer a week prior to the Diwali box-office clash between Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’.

He apparently also is of the opinion that if the trailer debuts alongside the two biggies, it could get sidelined. While massive accessibility to the trailer would be an assurance, Aamir wants more. Hence he’s arranged for a grand trailer launch event post which it’d debut across social media platforms and then at the movies.

Aamir, who’s always liked to release his trailers during Diwali believing it to be his lucky charm, let go of it for the benefit of the film. The trailers of ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ ‘Ghajini,’ ‘3 Idiot,’ ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’ had all been released during the festival.

This titbit has only made us all the more excitable about ‘Dangal’.
