Amitabh Bachchan’s solo act continues

The angry old man has four upcoming films which depend on his performance

The 77-year-old Amitabh Bachchan is still at the top of his game, playing important characters in most of his upcoming films. Being a part of four upcoming films, the actor has now the responsibility of shouldering those many films he’s a part of.

A trade source takes us through Bachchan’s upcoming movies. “Amitabh is the mainstay in the film Goodbye, in which he plays the patriarch in the Chandigarh-based family whose wife, played by Neena Gupta, dies. The family, which is scattered, comes together for her last rites from Mumbai and Australia. There is a daughter, who is a fashion designer, played by Rashmika Mandanna, and two sons, who are based in Mumbai and Australia. In Oonchai, his next, which is a Rajshri-production for Sooraj Barjatya, Amitabh has Boman Irani and Anupam Kher with him in a film on friendship.

In Chehre, his co-actors are Annu Kapoor and Raghubir Yadav with Emraan Hashmi. Again, in Jhund, he is the only big name in the film,” says the source.
Among the multi-starrers, Bachchan is also working with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra, Deepika and Prabhas in Nag Ashwin’s film and Deepika Padukone in remake of The Intern.
