Phullu' is based on the concept of a man makes sanitary pads for the women in his village at affordable prices.

Mumbai: Actress Divya Dutta wanted to thank the makers of the film ‘Phullu,’ because she felt it was about time that someone made an effort to start a conversation about basic hygiene in our country.

‘Phullu’ is directed by Abhishek Saxena, starring Sharib Ali Hashmi, Jyotii Sethi and Nutan Surya. The film is produced by Pusha Chaudhary, Dr. Anmol Kapoor, Kshitij Chaudhary and Raman Kapoor in association with AmbiAbhi Production. Story, screenplay and dialogue is by Shaheen Iqbal.

‘Phullu’ is based on the concept of a man makes sanitary pads for the women in his village at affordable prices so that they did not have to suffer the way his wife did.

It has been said that ‘Phullu’ was already in the making for the past two years.

While the first poster of ‘Phullu’ resembled that of Akshay Kumar’s ‘PadMan’s poster, the makers of ‘Phullu’ released its second poster.

The new poster looks very innovative, with the lead hero comfortably sleeping on a huge sanitary pad.

The film is slated to release on June 16.
