Held a minute's silence in the locker room for Muhammad Ali: Abhishek Bachchan

Mumbai: Virat Kohli Foundation joined hands with Abhishek Bachchan’s Playing for Humanity for a charity soccer match. The match took place at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex, to generate funds for charitable initiatives in which Kohli and Bachchan are involved.

At the celebrity soccer match, Abhishek and his team members observed a minute’s silence in for the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, who passed away at the age of 74.

Talking about the same, Abhishek said, "We held a minute’s silence in the locker room. Muhammad Ali has been my hero and was the first ever sportsperson that I was ever told and taught about by my father. I was crushed to hear that he lost his battle to Parkinson’s and respiratory disease. He has been an idol not only to me for the whole world. And all of us very disappointed and we played this match in his honour."
