The actress, known for her exceptional roles, will be seen in an intense and gritty role in her comeback film ‘Dear Maya’.
The trailer of the film is out, and it revolves around two young girls, who try to bring some spice in the boring life of Maya Devi (Manisha’s character).
However, their mission to brighten Manisha’s character forms the entire plot, and what follows is inexplicable.
Manisha has gone de-glam and has made a drastic transformation for this role.
In the role of an old lady with face covered in wrinkles, the 46-year-old barely looks recognisable.
The woman of substance has battled ovarian cancer in 2012 and will complete 5 years of cancer-free life soon.
Makers of the film had recently released the teaser of this film, which started off cheerfully but ended on a mysterious note.
Manisha will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic. She will essay the role of Nargis Dutt, Sanjay’s mother.
Written and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar, ‘Dear Maya’ has been produced by Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhna Yadav under the banner of Bake My Cake Films.
