After their debut single Hum Hain Happy, a cover of Pharrell William’s 2013 hit number, and then Sab Rab De Bande — The Chai Song featuring Sonu Nigam, the transgender band, The 6 Pack Band, have generated a lot of excitement among their fans.
The band have now joined hands with Hrithik Roshan for a new song titled Ay Raju, a lighter take on the words “Ay Raju” used by the members of the community. The lyrics go: Aye Raju DJ Ka Music Flop Hua, Apun Ka Taali Hit Ho Gaya.”
It all started when Hrithik heard The 6 Pack Band’s song for the first time, and he was bowled over by their talent. The actor himself approached the band and decided to collaborate on their new single.
Hrithik shared the video on his social media page and wrote, “Watch me and @The6PackBand move to the coolest new single #AeRaju and empower millions. #defeatdefeat”.
In the video, the band spread the message of how transgenders deserve love and equality. The song appreciates the spirit of the community, as they fight discrimination, and also gives out a message to the society. Towards the end, Hrithik Roshan encourages the members of the band to unleash their inner superheroes.
