It was Mahesh Bhatt who introduced Emraan Hashmi to Bollywood with hits like Gangster, Raaz and Murder. And the uncle and his nephew have been on close terms with each other for the longest time.
However, we hear that Mahesh Bhatt is not very happy with his nephew’s actions in the recent past. In the year 2014, Emraan had to prioritise Raja Natwarlal over Mahesh Bhatt’s Mr. X.
The actor was supposed to wrap up the supernatural thriller in ten days but had allotted the dates to the makers of Raja Natwarlal for the film’s promotion instead, as it was nearing its release date.
However, instead of making it up with Mahesh Bhatt, Emraan seems to have done it again. A source close to Mahesh Bhatt reveals, “Bhatt saab had offered Ab Ratt Guzarnewali Hai to Emraan Hashmi but the actor had recently turned down the offer leaving the filmmaker miffed.
The film, which features debutant Alisha Khan is a crime-thriller based on a real incident that took place in Ranchi a while ago and is written by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Gurudev Bhalla.”
Now, owing to Emraan’s refusal, Bhatt is apparently left with no other male lead. “The film is supposed to go on floors in June but the male lead is yet to be finalised. However, the good thing is that even before the shoot starts, Alisha Khan and Bhatt seem to be bonding well,” says the source.
