How the tables have turned! In December last year Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh locked horns at the box office with Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani respectively. It was one of the biggest clashes ever and the results were not expected. Ranveer’s film not only walked away with the box office bounty, but also turned out a top scorer in awards too. Now, we hear, the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, after having the last laugh, is planning to cast the two actors together in his next project.
Recently, Ranveer Singh shared an interesting Dubsmash video of Fan with Shah Rukh in it and it had gone viral. A source said, “SLB has been having discussions with the two actors for a while now. He has had several meetings with SRK about this, and with Ranveer, he had shared the idea during his Bajirao... days.”
Only some time ago, soon after the news of Sanjay’s patch-up with Salman Khan became public, there was speculation about the two teaming up again for a film. For the uninitiated, the two had a fallout when SLB chose SRK as his Devdas. They had temporarily mended ties for Saawariya, but things continued to remain sour between them. Until last month, when Sanjay extended the olive branch to bhai. He dropped in at Salman’s home unannounced and spent nearly four hours with him. But it was heard that the two had mutually agreed not to work together right away.
“It may have looked like a business meet but Sanjay’s agenda was purely an emotional one. For now, they have ruled out the possibility of working together immediately,” says a source. So looks like once again, Salman’s loss has turned out to be Shah Rukh’s gain. If all goes well, the film is expected to go on floors after Shah Rukh and Ranveer wrap their respective films, hopefully by the end of this year.
