Fawad Khan gets visa for India tour
Since the past few years several Pakistani actors have been making appearances in Indian films including in full-fledged lead roles. Mawra Hocane, Mahira Khan and Ali Zafar are amongst few who bagged big-budget Indian films more recently. Fawad Khan, who made his Bollywood debut with Khoobsurat alongside Sonam Kapoor was facing trouble to get visa for the city tours for his upcoming film Kapoors And Sons.
While Alia got back from her Goa schedule of Gauri Shinde’s untitled film opposite SRK, Sidharth Malthotra just wrapped up his next Baar Baar Dekho opposite Katrina Kaif. With the release date nearing, the three leads of the movie Kapoors and Sons are leaving no stone unturned in promoting their film. As per the law, Pakistani actors needs an intercity visa in the country. As the team have to promote the film in seven majors cities of India, Fawad required the special visa. A source close to Fawad confirmed that, “Fawad received his intercity visa to promote Kapoors and Sons recently. He will start promoting the movie from this week with Alia and Sidharth.”
A case very similar to Fawad’s was that of actor Imran Abbas, who debuted in Bipasha Basu’s Creature 3D. In his case, however he was forced to cancel all promotional events as he was barred from entering Lucknow.
