This is how Rishi Kapoor transformed into an old man for Kapoor & Sons

Mumbai: Rishi Kapoor's new look in 'Kapoor & Sons' has surprised his fans. At first glance, the fans couldn't even recognize the actor in his new look. While many are curious to know more about the actor's look in the film, here's something about Rishi's look and what went behind to transform him into a whole new different avatar.

Rishi Kapoor's make up in the film has been done by American artist Greg Cannom, who has worked in 'Titanic' (1997), and was also the man behind Brad Pitt’s flawless facial transformation in the 2008 film, 'The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button'.

The film's director, Shakun Batra went to meet Rishi to discuss the script and his look, and saw a picture of 'The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button' on his mobile phone. Co-incidentally, Shakun found out that Cannom was in Mumbai for another film. So, he went and met him.

Rishi Kapoor recently unveiled his look for the upcoming flick 'Kapoor & Sons'.

In the film, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan, Rishi plays the role of an elderly man.

He is sporting white hair and spectacles but it is difficult to identify the actor. You might have to look twice.

The actor, who loves to experiment and do challenging roles, enjoyed the transformation.

The director says, "Greg Cannom is so brilliant. He works on the make-up minutely, as per the characterization details and script."

Shakun further adds that “Rishiji’s character is extremely integral to the storyline. Since he is playing a grandfather, we wanted him to look the part."
