SLB mesmerised by Deepika's Padmavati act on her first day of shoot

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali is mermerized by Deepika Padukone's beauty!

The day, 'Padmavati' shoot commenced, the director was allured by the actress' bewitching look as Rani Padmini, on sets, sources said.

Sources even added that it was the very first time that he saw DP in her character and finally believed that his much ambitious film has kick started!

Upcoming period drama 'Padmavati' tells the tale of Alauddin Khilji and his obsessive love for Queen of Chittor Padmini, who was known for her beauty, intellect and courage.

With this movie, the 30-year-old actress, Ranveer Singh, who will be playing Alauddin Khilji, and Bhansali will mark a hattrick, post 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela' and 'Bajirao Mastani.' The movie will also see Shahid Kapoor, portraying Padmini's husband, King Ratansen of Chittor.

Spokesperson added, "Deepika has started the shoot of the film and is loving every bit of it. This would be her third film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The duo shares an incredible rapport and she is glad to be shooting for it."
