Arjun Rampal turns producer
The first look of Arjun Rampal’s film Daddy confirms that the actor is pretty passionate about his home production, based on gangster turned politician, Arun Gawli’s life. Gawli is presently serving a life sentence at Navi Mumbai Jail. Describing the man, Rampal says, “He is a soft spoken person, very humble and I found him to be a decent man. The film will show major points of his life, such as from where he started and how he became a changed person. My film will raise innumerable questions about his nature and his actions.”
Apart from acting in the film, he is also producing it. “I am passionate about the subject. And when you turn producer, the creative aspect of filmmaking remains in your hands. I got attracted towards the subject owing to creative greed. Since it would not be easy to convince anyone to be a producer for this film, I decided to shoulder the responsibility myself,” he says.
Justifying his decision, Arjun says, “The script needs to be depicted in the right way. Sometimes, with too many heads, the film starts out in the manner it is written, but by the time it is completed, turns out to be something different.”
Arjun is confident about Daddy. “If the film is not made as written, it pinches both the makers and the audiences. But once the film is made and it is good, then studios also like to associate with it,” he says.
