Shah Rukh Khan subtly slams singer Abhijeet for his extremist opinions
Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan sure is known for his wit, but the superstar is also know for his coherent perspectives, candour and honesty.
SRK, who recently appeared in an immensely publicised cameo in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' will next be seen in Gauri Shinde's 'Dear Zindagi' co-starring Alia Bhatt.
However, the actor was recently filming Imtiaz Ali's 'The Ring', with Anushka Sharma. During a schedule in Lisbon, he spoke to Film Companion and condemned singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya's borderline extremist opinions and write-ups.
Abhijeet, who's sung a cult too many for SRK, has often gone overboard on Twitter, while criticising celebrities. He was particularly vociferous during the recent controversy surrounding the ban on Pakistani artistes in the country, following the Uri terror attacks and India's retaliatory surgical strike.
Abhijeet had unwarrantedly lambasted filmmakers Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt, who had earlier been critical of the blanket ban.
"I read somewhere one of the gentlemen, one of our colleagues working with us,... He started writing some really strange things to my colleagues, Bhatt Saab and Karan... He used to work with us. We love him...singer...He writes some really strange stuff, and then...'Mai sach bolta hun'. No, no. 'Saying it like it is is', being rude... You're mistaken. And it's sad. Then I find people retaliating," Shah Rukh said, candidly.
Well, love him or hate him, but we can not ignore the honesty and bluntness of the man, despite of being the superstar that he is, today, with all the rights in the world to be diplomatic.
Kudos!
