After its release last week, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil seems to have been embroiled in yet another unhappy controversy.
Shahid Rafi, the son of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi has expressed his anger over a dialogue in the movie where Anushka Sharma says to Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Mohammed Rafi gaate nahi, rote the (Mohammed Rafi used to cry, not sing).’ Since the dialogue ridicules the legendary singer, it hasn’t gone down too well with the Rafi family.
Now, popular singer Sonu Nigam has backed Shahid’s stance in an interview where he looks visibly upset and furious over the dig taken at Mohammed Rafi in the film. While talking to an entertainment portal, when Sonu was asked about his take, he made it clear that he too found the scene to be insulting.
