After Sidharth, Aditya refuse role, Emraan to play lead with Salman in Race 3?

Mumbai: After the success of the two installments, the ‘Race’ franchise has got bigger with Salman Khan coming on board as the lead.

And with Salman obviously hogging all the limelight and the series being a two-hero franchise, it is possible that actors could have apprehensions playing second fiddle to the ‘Tubelight’ star.

That’s perhaps why reports surfaced that Sidharth Malhotra had shockingly turned down the film and that Aditya Roy Kapur was also in contention for the role.

And now it seems even the ‘Aashiqui 2’ star is not keen on the role and that Emraan Hashmi has been finalised for the role, according to a report in DNA.

“Emraan has been cast as the other hero in Race 3. After talks with Sid and Adi didn’t work out, the makers approached him and he has agreed to do the film. He will be romancing Daisy Shah in the film,” a source told the daily.

After a string of flops as a solo hero, Emraan has somewhat redeemed himself with the decent performance of ‘Baadshaho.’

And after sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn, it seems the actor doesn’t mind doing another two-hero film.

‘Race 3’ is being directed by Remo D’Souza and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead.
