Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha’s action-packed ‘Akira’ released on Friday and the film has received an excellent response overall. The critics have appreciated the film and the audiences have also loved the film. This has translated into good collections at the box-office on the first day, with the film managing to earn more than Rs. 5 crores, which are very good collections for a female-centric film. The action film’s first day collections are even more than that of Sonam Kapoor’s much appreciated film ‘Neerja’.
The film brought Sonakshi back with her ‘Holiday’ director A. R. Murugadoss, and the after the success of their first project together, ‘Akira’ also seems to be on its way to success.
