Murali Agrawal unmask the gravity of the scene in RAW through his lyrics
RAW was a movie, not just movie on patriotism but also on innocent love that was struggling to find its ground. Before one of the major sequence in the movie that will throw the story off the grills, the writer felt a need to empty of the characters' heart – unmask their love for each other which they have been keeping say in troubled water of patriotism they were in. A situation such intense couldn’t just unfold with an exchange of dialogues, that’s where lyricist Murali Agrawal jumped in.
Murali brilliantly masked the true feeling of characters without them giving in completely. His lyrics gave the scene the secure atmosphere which the characters needed, and his word unmasked the authentic desires and insecurities of the characters without giving in everything away.
It's rare when a lyricist understands the story so well that his lyrics transcend the feeling of a character and gives the listeners a peek into their hearts. Murali has mastered the art of masking the undertone of the story while he unmasks what the character or the story requires. So far and the man continues to pen out lyrics a great as Jee Len De which is undisputedly one of his best works.
