While everyone in the film industry knows what getting on the bad side of Salman Khan means, it is also true that the actor is very generous when it comes to helping his friends. This time, Salman is going out of his way to help his friend, Akshay Kumar, promote his upcoming film, Rustom.
Salman had earlier agreed to do a special number for the movie Fugly, which was produced by Akshay. The two have a friendship that goes back a long way and have also done movies together.
For Rustom, Salman has also shot a short video where he talks about the film. In fact, during the press conference he hosted to celebrate the success of Sultan, the actor said that he had seen the trailer of Rustom and really loved it.
However, there is another side to this story, as it is quite well-known that Akshay’s Rustom is clashing with Hrithik’s Mohenjo Daro for the Independence Day slot. According to reports, Salman has been upset with Hrithik about an incident that happened during the an awards function.
Apparently, Salman had suggested Daisy Shah’s name to Hrithik as a co-dancer for his performance. While Hrithik had initially agreed, he backed out later as he had concerns about sharing the stage with her. However, it wasn’t like Hrithik said a firm no.
But he didn’t tell bhai upfront about his reservations either. Apparently, that ticked off Salman. So supporting Akshay’s film makes us wonder if this is his way of turning a cold shoulder to Hrithik.
