'Chalo izzat bacha li': Priyanka's response to Parineeti's singing debut

Mumbai: Parineeti, who’s debuted at playback singing with her upcoming venture ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu,’ has been getting rave reviews for her rendition of the song.

The younger cousin of Priyanka Chopra, who herself has often dabbled in playback singing, has reiterated on multiple occasions that she looks up to her big Didi.

At the launch of the first trailer of the very quirky film, Parineeti was asked what PeeCee’s reaction was to her song.

The effervescent Pari revealed, "Priyanka was really touched. Me to sing is a big thing. I had to do it well. For my family it was like chalo izzat bacha li. Mimi Didi's papa and my dad used to do shows and we used to join them. So this was like a huge thing for me."

Well, the big sister has spoken and we very much do agree.

Helmed by Akshay Roy and also starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, the film is slated to release on May 12.
