Mishti Chakraborty makes it to webseries
Last seen as Kashibai in the magnum opus Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Mishti Chakraborty has her hands full with work at the moment.
Mishti who started her career with Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi: The Unbreakable opposite Kartik Aaryan, which wasn’t a big-ticket grosser at the turnstiles, had bagged an impactful role in the Mahesh Bhatt produced Begum Jaan with Vidya Balan.
After Manikarnika, she has now been approached for a web-series on women empowerment. “It is an exciting phase for women in the industry. Several producers and production houses are willing to put money on women-oriented web series and films, Four More Shots Please being the recent one. After Manikarnika, it is an interesting phase for me as makers are looking at me in a different way,” she says, adding, “I have been approached for a web-series recently based on women empowerment and I really liked the idea. But I am still in the process of finalising it keeping many factors in mind.”
Mishti also created buzz when she complained about Kangana Ranaut cutting her screen time in Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi
