Kangana Ranaut won't be seen doing item song in Simran, rumours squashed

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has a great few films lined up for 2017, with Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’ being one of them.

And the latest buzz in town is that she will be doing an item number in the film. However, turns out that it's far from the truth.

Kangana's spokesperson confirmed the development with us, "Kangana is currently on a holiday in Germany. So the question of her shooting for an item number doesn't arise. No big set has been put up anywhere. Once she's back, she'll resume the remaining patch work for Simran post the release of Rangoon." She also clarified that contrary to reports, Simran is not a gritty thriller but a breezy comedy instead.

However, the film does have six songs. But all are background songs supporting the plot of the story and there is no dance number.

Kangana, who is currently in Germany, is soon expected to join the ‘Rangoon’ promotions. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the trailer of the highly anticipated Vishal Bharadwaj directorial.

The buzz on her character is already dominating the social media. We just can't wait to see what the Queen has in store for us.
