Newly married Ranveer Singh “working towards being husband of the millenniumâ€
Simmba trailer saw the dawn today. Being a Monday, the theatre was packed with a huge crowd. Karan Johar, director Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan with other cast and credit were present on the dais. It was indeed a mutual admiration, where one and all were praising each other.
Karan who is known to give great headlines said, “It is a thunderous Monday, love the energy! Today is the first day my baby has gone to school. I call it school because when it comes to film making it is the Rohit Shetty School of films. He is India's most mainstream filmmaker.”
While present on the dais director Rohit Shetty was in a mood to reveal many secrets from the film. RohitShetty revealed a secret as to how Simmba is like a cub. “Our Simmba is Singham's young one,” he says. This is shown in the opening scene of the trailer as Singham alias none other than Ajay Devgn enters and clarifies the same through mouthing a dialogue “Ek baccha hai jo…” and this kid grows up to be the ‘Simmba’ Ranveer Singh.
Rohit seemed to be revealing one secret after the other, “Karan is also a part of the song, which has both Ranveer and Golmaal team.”
The lead actor Ranveer Singh praising Rohit said, “I have been a huge fan of Rohit saab for a long time. He is one of the greatest commercial filmmakers. I have been a huge fan of Singham franchise as well.”
Adding further Ranveer said, “I had been waiting to be a part of his film but it's not easy to get into his films. You have to earn the right to be in his world. Then, we did the Chings advertisement together and I thought I would do everything that it takes to be a part of his film.”
Ranveer feels his entire acting caliber has been exploited by Rohit. He confirms, “Rohit sir has juiced me out in this film. In the first installment of the franchise itself, I have explored all layers. There's emotion, there's action.”
Ranveer truthfully expresses Deepika’s reaction after watching the trailer. “She came. Rohit sir showed her some rushes on my birthday. She doesn't say much. She never speaks much. When the rushes ended, she looked at me and said, "Bada hot lag raha hai," recollected Ranveer.
Ranveer on being the A lister actor/star that he is today says, “Whatever has happened in my life, I couldn't even dream about. I just wanted to be an actor. I had never imagined what's happening with me. The kind of people I worked with, to get launched by Aditya Chopra... All this was beyond my wild imagination.”
Ranveer may have never he could actually be the top most actor but he dreamt in just 6 months relationship with Deepika that she would be the mother of his children. He confirmed the same saying, “I met her in 2012. Within six months, I knew she was the one, who would become the mother of our children.”
Ask what next after marriage to Deepika and Ranveer cheekily says, “I have already become boyfriend of the millennium. Now, I am working towards becoming husband of the millennium.”
