Abhay Deol has turned presenter now. The actor, who had launched his own production house earlier, making films like One By Two for his then girlfriend Preeti Desai, has now lent his name to a documentary on legendary ghazal singer Jagjit Singh called Kagaz Ki Kashti.
“It is a well-made documentary. I cried when I saw Jagjitji’s wife Chitra talk about her late son and husband. I was moved and decided to present this. It is not my production, so I decided to offer it an OTT platform and got PVR to give it a theatrical release,” says Deol.
Deol will also be seen in a cameo in SRK’s film Zero, but he has a problem with hierarchy in Bollywood. “In Bollywood five people control the industry and you can only make what they want you to make. There are 50 people in Hollywood,” says the actor.
