Varun asked to shed chocolate boy image, sport 'no make-up' look for October

Varun Dhawan is in no mood for make-up. As the actor has been shooting for the film October, he has not used any make-up in the film after director Shoojit Sircar told the actor that he wanted a simple look in the film. Since Varun is playing a simple, down-to-earth character, he was told that he shouldn’t end up looking like a chocolate boy.

“Varun has gone through the process earlier in Badlapur, where director Sriram Raghavan, wanted Varun to have a simple look for his character in the film. Varun knew that he had to be believable, as Shoojit’s movies often resemble reality. Hence, he decided to give his make-up man less work, except to help keep his face and hair in tandem for the scenes,” says a source from the sets.
