Mumbai: Salman Khan's Dabangg is one of the benchmark films in Bollywood, and each part of the franchise comes with bigger expectations than the previous film. With the superstar's track record of delivering back to back blockbusters and humungous popularity of the previous parts, anticipation around Dabangg 3, which is being helmed by Prabhudeva, is sky-high.
To make sure momentum around the film is maintained, the makers of the film have released announcement posters and have also released motion posters in the languages in which the film will be released. However, to match the excitement of a film like Dabangg, the strategy has to be equally path-breaking and disruptive. Therefore, in one of a kind campaign, for the first time ever, it was announced that not Salman Khan but Chulbul Pandey, the character played by him, will take charge of the promotional campaign. Not only that, for the first time ever, Salman Khan's social media handles have been taken over by Chulbul, which included the display name, and the tonality of his posts.
The takeover has received a terrific response from the audience, and not only will this give an extra dose of entertainment from the beloved Robinhood Pandey, but will also help break away from the usual promotions that happen for every film. The announcement video about this received a tremendous response and was trending at No. 1 even after days.
With Chulbul takeover in place, audience and rest of the industry are eagerly waiting to see what all is will unfold in this Dabangg journey.
Directed by Prabhudeva, Dabangg 3 is produced by Salma Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi under the banner of Salman Khan Films and is slated to release on 20th December 2019. The film will also be Salman’s first ever to release in Multiple languages simultanously.
