Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan has a history of collaborating with international artists to great effect. The superstar had earlier worked with Akon in 'Ra.One's 'Chammak Challo'. And the actor's latest, with international EDM artist Diplo.
However, all the hype seems to have gone in vain, as the highly anticipated music video turned out to be a massive hackjob with some messy editing that screams of haste.
The song, 'Phurrr,' a collaborative composition by Pritam and Diplo, is admittedly infectious enough, but is let down by a badly made music video, that incidentally has been revealed, just a day prior to the Imtiaz Ali directorial's release, on August 04.
While the soundtrack of the film, also starring Anushka Sharma in the lead, has mostly been appreciated and accepted, the eleventh hour addition of the collaboration had baffled many.
Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in this year's 'Raees,' is collaborating with Imtiaz for the very first time. Fans can barely wait to see how the superstar fares at the box-office this time round.
