Actress Priyanka Chopra steps out in style at yet another international red carpet.
Priyanka Chopra made her debut appearance at the Met Gala in New York. The actress was dressed in a ‘trenchcoat dress’ by Ralph Lauren. This detective-inspired gown is apparently the world's longest, with a train so long it needed a dedicated helper to get her up the stairs. She even posed with singer Nick Jonas on the red carpet. Many people took it to twitter to praise the actress’ look. “Sometimes, you do not need to make any statement because YOU are THE statement. MET Gala is all about Priyanka Chopra...That's al!l??#BOLD (sic),” wrote @julietkego.
Another twitter user, Coleen Carlson wrote, “Everyone can give up forever. @priyankachopra won the MET Gala#metgala #metgala2017 (sic).” Actress Sophie Choudry wrote, “SLAY and how!!!!! @priyankachopra killing it at #metgala2017 #metgala #PriyankaChopra (sic).”
Although the international media lauded PeeCee’s look and she was considered as one of the best dressed celebrity, many people back home made fun of the same on social media. A lot of people decide to praise Priyanka for taking the ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ so seriously. Comedian Atul Khatri wrote, “If everyone in India decides to wear this for one day & walk 100 metres — we can clean India in one hour #SwacchBharat (sic).” This year, the Met Gala, was a tribute to the avant-garde Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo who founded the fashion house Comme des Garcons.
