Cyber cell has withdrawn summons to Kangana Ranaut, says lawyer

Mumbai: In the case filed by actor Hrithik Roshan over his fake email id, the legal counsel for actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli said the cyber cell has withdrawn its demand for them to be personally present at the police station to record their statements.

However, cyber cell officials refused to comment on the same. On Saturday, advocate Rizwan Siddiquee said, “(The police) in a polite manner requested my clients to communicate to them the date, time and place as per their convenience so as to enable the concerned officer to visit them and record their statement.”

He added that, “As per Hrithik’s claim, Kangana has been a victim and can only record her statement in the case as a witness provided the said officer follows the provisions of law.” When asked if the cyber cell had withdrawn its demand, M. Rajkumar, DCP (cyber) refused to comment.
