Shahid would've played Khilji differently; Jim can't imagine anyone except Ranveer
Mumbai: Jim Sarbh as Malik Kafur in ‘Padmaavat’ was in total adoration of his master Alaudin Khilji (which can clearly be seen in the recently released song ‘Binte Dil’). But it looks like the actor is totally awed by Ranveer Singh even in real life, as he made a statement that he couldn’t imagine anyone else as Khilji.
Jim told BollywoodLife, “I don’t see anyone else as Allaudin Khilji but Ranveer Singh.”
Shahid however said in his interviews that who wouldn’t like to play Khilji? But he would’ve played it differently.
Said Shahid, “I told him (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) so many times I want to do Khilji. But I think Ranveer has done a great job and full marks to him for having created Khilji in his interpretation. Mine would have been different but in the end it is Sanjay Bhansali’s vision. So I think everybody is catering to that.”
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also starring Deepika Padukone, ‘Padmaavat’, which released on Republic Day, is ruling at the Box Office.
