Ranveer's Simmba director Rohit Shetty ventures in Marathi production after Ajay

The film is reportedly set to go on floors in March-April and the search for two leading ladies is on.

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn had very recently announced that he is venturing into Marathi production with Nana Patekar starrer ‘Aapla Maanus’. Now it looks like his director of many films, Rohit Shetty is following his footsteps, as post ‘Simmba’, Rohit is reportedly venturing into Marathi production too.

The film is named ‘School College Aani Life’ and it will mark the directorial debut of Vihan Suryavanshi.

“It’s a light-hearted film set in Mumbai which revolves around four college boys. Rohit sir heard the script last year and immediately agreed to produce it as the story touched his heart and has never been attempted in Marathi before. We are all excited,” the film’s casting director Rohan Mapuskar, who has earlier casted for Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’, Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi production ‘Ventilator’ and Ganesh Acharya’s 2017 film ‘Bhikari’, told Mumbai Mirror.

The film is reportedly set to go on floors in March-April and the search for two leading ladies is on. “Both Rohit sir and Vihan decided that they don’t want established actors and newcomers will bring freshness to the script. Rohit sir is actively involved in the casting and will begin workshops once actors are locked,” informed Rohan to the daily.
