Not in an SRK film, this SLB directorial could be Priyanka's Bollywood comeback

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra has been away from Bollywood for an achingly long duration and her fans can barely wait for her to make her highly anticipated comeback from the West. The actress has been charming Hollywood since a while now, with her turn as Alex Parrish in ‘Quantico,’ and her impending Hollywood feature debut in ‘Baywatch’.

There have been widespread speculation that she would be returning opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the latter’s turn as Sahir Ludhianvi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s planned biopic.

However, latest rumours suggest that Priyanka might not star in the SRK starrer, but in a different women-centric film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Sanjay Leele Bhansali has been planning to adapt a poignant tale of a prostitute, exploring the taxing life in a brothel. While, initial reports suggested that the filmhad earlier been offered to Rani Mukerji, though the actress was interested, she was advised against taking it up since she had already played a sex worker multiple times on-screen.

And turns out Rani’s loss was PeeCee’s gain. The script has apparently landed up on her lap and she is said to be mighty impressed with it. As per reports, once Priyanka finishes her Western assignments, she’ll return back home and commence work on her ‘Bajirao Mastani’ director’s film.

Well, isn’t that one superlative comeback film, waiting to happen?
