Confirmed: Chitrangda Singh and Anees Bazmee to collaborate on a 'dramedy'

Chitrangada Singh may have been missing from the screen for a while now, but she looks set to take on 2018 with renewed vigour. As the actress turns producer this year, Chitrangada has decided she will also star in one of the films she’s making.

The project is being co-produced by Anees Bazmee, and the sultry actress will be in it.

Says Anees, “I had written this story long back, and she just fell in love with it, the minute she heard the script. She instantly jumped at it and said that she would like to co-produce it.”

What’s more interesting is that Anees, known for his rib tickling comedy movies, has written a movie with a social issue this time around.

He says, “It’s a very different film from the kind of movies I’ve made earlier. It has drama and comedy, so we’re calling it a ‘dramedy’ for now. Chitrangada will also be acting in this film that’s based on a social issue.”

After having hit headlines for quitting Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Chitrangada will be seen in different avatars in Saheb Biwi aur Gangster 3 and Bazaar.
