Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi rekindle old bonhomie in Jodhpur for Baadshaho

The film, helmed by Milan Luthria, also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.

Mumbai: When Milan Luthria's 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' release 8 years back, it brought back the quintessential Bollywood trend of one-liners and gritty, vintage action. It also introduced to Bollywood the explosive chemistry between Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi.

The trio are now back with another explosive idea, set to the backdrop of the Indian Emergency, and this time round, they'll be joined by the 'Rustom' beauties, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.

The stars are currently filming in Jodhpur, since a lot of the action will be set in Rajasthan.

Ajay also reminisced his previous session in the beautiful town, when he'd shot for Milan's 'Kacche Dhaage,' alongside Saif Ali Khan and Manisha Koirala.

Emraan, whose last release was 'Raaz: Reboot,' is himself quite excited about the film.

Earlier, Pulkit Samrat was replaced by Vidyut Jamwal and and then by Diljit Dosanjh, who was cast officially. However, he was eventually replaced by Emraan. Diljit, a popular Punjabi actor-singer, made his Bollywood debut with last drug-drama, 'Udta Punjab'.

Talking about his film, Milan had earlier said, “This is an explosive idea, based loosely on true events that transpired during the Emergency. The action and music are rustic and set in Rajasthan. I am thrilled to collaborate with Bhushan and Ajay, but I don’t want to reveal too much about the film at the moment, except to say that like my other films it will be a blend of action, humour, emotion and one liners. Rajat Aroraa has written the script, and Bhushan and I plan to produce the film on a grand scale.”
