Saand Ki Aankh second weekend box collection have surpassed Saturday collection.
Mumbai: While the excitement among movie lovers goes down after the first weekend, Saand Ki Aankh's stellar performances and strong story has weaved magic at the box office. The word of mouth and good reviews have attracted more footfalls in the week after Diwali, when people generally get over the festive fun.
Saand Ki Aankh, which is based on the lives of India's oldest sharpshooter Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, collected Rs. 2.48 crore in its first weekend. The film collected RS 1.28 crs on its second Friday almost three times its opening day number. Now, the first weekend number has already been surpassed on the films 2nd Saturday evening with the rest of the weekend still to add to its collections.
Bhumi Pednekar says, "This film is very special to me and so are the dadis. The fact that people have appreciated our hard work makes us feel at peace and joyous at the same time. I couldn't have asked for us."
Taapsee Pannu says, "This is an exceptional experience. The audience has shown that they are ready for more stories from India's heartland. We need to tell more such stories and I want to be part of all of them."
Saand ki Aankh has not only hit the box office bullseye but is here to stay for the long haul.
