After rejecting 3 films, SRK-Aishwarya keen to collaborate, can't find right script

It was quite the sight when Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bonded at an event in Mumbai just a few days ago. It set tongues wagging about rekindling their friendship, and even murmurs of a movie together.

However, despite the smiles for the cameras, the two actors have apparently jointly refused films opposite each other in the recent past. In fact, not just one or two, they’ve nixed a good three films that could’ve starred them together.

These offers came up soon after the two were seen together in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “After the movie, filmmakers realised that Ash may not have a problem working with Shah Rukh, and hence considered casting the two together. But then, both these actors were not comfortable with the kind of scripts offered to them. They don’t have a problem working with each other, as they’re thorough professionals. But then the script has to be good enough for them to be cast opposite each other,” says a source.
