Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan’s professional relationship seems to have run into rough waters with Mohenjo Daro. The movie was their second spell together after the successful Jodhaa Akbar, and the lukewarm reception it has received has seen reports speculating over their torn association.
Sources close to both Ashutosh and Hrithik scoff at rumours of their separation, and have revealed that the duo is getting together for a third movie, regardless of the box office outcome of Mohenjo Daro.
Says a source, “Both Ashutosh and Hrithik are far too sorted to indulge in any blame game. Reports of Hrithik sending Ashutosh angry text messages about the failure of Mohenjo Daro are not only false but also misleading. They are meant to create differences between the two by people having vested interests.”
The source also revealed that Hrithik has utmost confidence in Ashu’s abilities. “Hrithik said no to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, so he could accommodate the huge chunk of time required for Mohenjo Daro. Does Hrithik regret his choice? Not at all. He is very confident that his third collaboration with Ashutosh will be immensely rewarding.”
While details of the proposed project bringing the duo together again are not known yet, it looks highly unlikely that they will be working on a period drama again....
