Sanju leaves Aamir emotional, Dutt teary-eyed after standing ovation at screening

It was during the special screening of Sanju, that an emotional Aamir Khan turned all the more emotional. The actor, who is Rajkumar Hirani’s close friend and has worked in films like PK and 3 Idiots, was stunned by the film and requested the director to call Sanjay Dutt before the screening ends.

“Aamir who has been in the film industry for the past 30 years worked with Sanjay Dutt only once and that was in Hirani’s PK. He was moved by the kind of struggles Sanjay Dutt had gone through as depicted in the film. So, after the real Sanju walked in and the film ended, everyone in the auditorium gave him a standing ovation. Sanjay was moved and was almost in tears over the kind of reception he got from his friends in the film industry,” says an eyewitness.
